Correlations: Jenifer Becker

Jenifer Becker's lecture at Correlations explored creative writing processes fueled by artificial neural networks, specifically focusing on the "Writing on AI" project conducted in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Dagmara Kraus at the University of Hildesheim. Throughout the semester, various programs and neural networks were integrated into literary and artistic practices, resulting in a diverse range of texts, images, and sounds published on neuerordner7.art. Becker discussed the contemporary landscape of AI-infused writing and the challenges it presents.
Becker, a writer and literary-cultural scholar based in Berlin, specializes in autobiographical writing, digital writing practices, gender studies, and writing theory. She is currently engaged in exploring AI-generated prose forms.
Correlations Forum, an interdisciplinary event, provided a platform for dialogue on AI in art and design. Through lectures, workshops, and exhibitions, participants engaged with intelligent systems in creative contexts, exploring their impact on society. The next forum is scheduled for November 2024, organized by KITeGG, a research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Visit correlationsforum.de for more details.
